Atelier Thalia | Kaş, Turkey
I had the pleasure of spending two and half weeks at Atelier Thalia, working with the beautiful and talented Olça Tansuk. Tansuk is an artist specializing in acrylic paintings, glass fusion and glass mosaic work. During my time here, I helped her set up an online Etsy account for her store as well as learning the technique behind making glass art.
Tansuk showed me great hospitality. I stayed in her country home in one of the surrounding villages. Every morning I was awaken by a cheerful smile and the beautiful views of the sea with the islands off in the distance.
The working scheduled varied but everyday we would go to the studio and open the shop. Time spent here was very nice, talking, getting to know Tansuk and others who would wander in the shop. Sharing stories and meals. It became a central meeting point where many spontaneous friendships developed.
